This week I will write about the task we got from our teacher, Fleeta. We had to find people to form groups of 2-3 person. The aim of this task was to start thinking about our group projects for April. This group project will be presented in front of our classmates in April. The project will make 40% of our end of year grade. We had to come up with an idea by early December and write our proposals for the project.
We could choose the type of this project from 3 or 4 different types. I chose the stop motion animation, which has to be 60 or maximum 90 seconds.
First of all a stop motion is an animation technique that manipulates an object that appears to move on its own. ‘The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Not all stop motion requires figures or models; many stop motion films can involve using humans, household appliances and other things for comedic effect.’
One of the most famous stop motion animation comedy series is Wallace and Gromit. It is a British clay animation created by Nick Park. The series consists of four short films and a feature-length film.
This is a photo of the making process of a stop motion animation video, here especially clay animation.
